これに対して、サイレントモラハラは明確な暴力や暴言がないまま、次のような行為が継続される状態を指すとされています。

・相手を意図的に無視し続ける
・話しかけても返事をしない
・ため息をつくなど、常に不機嫌な態度をとる
・睨みつける、ドアを強く閉めるなど、威圧的な態度をとる

直接的な暴言や暴力がないため、被害者が「自分が我慢すればいいのかも」と感じてしまい、問題が表面化しにくい点が特徴です。
