When people lose their wardrobe chip or something else goes wrong, we ask them to provide information to identify their clothing and confirm it belongs to them. One person mentioned a specific repair on the arm sleeve. That made me notice that a couple of jackets had hand-sewn repairs. Not surprising at a convention with a lot of cosplay, but still nice to see.#sewing #conventions

Having a good time at DeDeCo just like last year. Both my workshops were helpful and interesting and I had a lot of fun watching the performance contest. Crafting contest up next. All the expo areas are larger this year and some of the new space was dedicated to wider hallways, so it's not as crowded. Very high rate of cosplayers among the visitors and very friendly atmosphere. 100% recommended!

This weekend, I'll be attending Crafting Com in Dresden with @brezeldrache! It's said to be very focused on crafting, so instead of a large artist and merchant area, there are areas for the different crafts.

While some cons, from the outside, look like they are planning everything one week before the con, it's most likely very different behind the scenes. I was a helping hand at DeDeCo last year and I'm still in the according WhatsApp chat. While I'm barely focusing on Crafting Com this week, there has been all kinds of organizational talk regarding this year's DeDeCo in the chat for weeks, which is still over a month away. Really looking forward to it :)
