"I walk through crowds with shadows looming, eyes that never rest,
A phantom whisper in my mind: “It’s coming, brace yourself.”
The beast is a tyrant, but the dread is the unseen,
A mental cage of endless loops, a never ending scene."

Hauntshade – Pain Like No Other
🎵 Pain Like No Other A flash of fire behind my eyes, a storm that never sleeps,One second, silence, the next a hammer on my skull’s deep keep.Tearing through the temples, a furnace in my brain,Each pulse a jagged blade, each beat a scream of pain. I’m caught inside a cyclone that no medicine can tame,The world blurs to a fevered haze, my body’s burning flame. Pain like no other, tearing through my veins,Lightning in my head, a thousand drums that rain.Every heartbeat drums a war […]https://blog.hauntshademusic.nl/2025/11/12/hauntshade-pain-like-no-other/

The lyrics for the track Pain Like No Other are "inspired" by #clusterheadache #clusterhoofdpijn
The song 'Storm-Forged' vividly describes a powerful storm as a metaphor for facing challenges and adversities in life. The thunder, lightning, and chaos symbolize the intensity of struggles, but the resilience and determination to overcome them shine through, portraying a message of inner strength and perseverance amidst chaos and turmoil.
Cluster headache is more than 'just a headache'.
2/2 And some of us never find a thing that helps. So we keep suffering, while society's like "we get headaches too, just get over it".
That's why I hate them being called headaches. Even though they are.
End of rant.
1/2 Why I hate when migraine and cluster headaches are called headaches.
Before anyone comes at me with "But they are headaches", I KNOW. Both are a pain originating in the head, therefore headaches. Let me explain...
I saw a trained medical professional yesterday call cluster headaches one of the worst pains imaginable, a 10 on this awful pain scale the medical community uses. The amount of comments, saying "how can a headache be a 10, you're exaggerating" was astounding.
Everyone of us had a head ache at some point in their life, right? Usually, we throw back an over-the-counter painkiller and we're good. So, when people read "cluster HEADACHE", they're like... it's a headache, get over it.
But migraines and cluster headaches are not *just* headaches. And while for some mild cases, over-the-counter pain killers might help (I envy you), most of us have to try a lot of things until we find something that does help.
