I used to want to study aerospace engineering. I still find the subject fascinating, but I have different goals now (not saying anything about those until I accomplish them though). Seeing this ol' thing in person was however one of the coolest things and my 17 year old self might have cried.

Apollo 15 Commander David Scott performed a demonstration to confirm Galileo's theory of falling objects. On the Moon, he dropped a feather and a hammer simultaneously, and they fell and hit the lunar surface at the same time - illustrating that in a vacuum, objects fall at the same rate regardless of their mass.

The idea just popped in my head. Because of my interest in #DSKY and #NASA, I really want to remaster the A15 Delco journal into a fully digital PDF/A format with full text instead of scans and SVG for all diagrams. Many of the pages in the NASA archive are scanned, not straight, and some scanned with visual deformities. A clean remake of the journal will be better preservation and readability of the documents. #Apollo #Apollo15 #Delco #preservation #history
