TL;DR: TeamViewer заблокировал все бесплатные подключения из России в 2022 году. AnyDesk с апреля 2025 года блокируется Роскомнадзором — тысячи жалоб, соединения не устанавливаются или обрываются. Российские аналоги стоят от 72 000 ₽/год и заточены под корпорации. Я сделал Portal — удалённый рабочий стол на WebRTC с прямым P2P-соединением, без серверов-посредников. macOS + Windows. 1 устройство бесплатно. Сайт — portal-app.ru . Telegram — @portalremote . Что случилось с TeamViewer 5 мая 2022 года TeamViewer объявил о полном прекращении работы в России и Беларуси. Компания: Заблокировала все бесплатные (нелицензионные) подключения из России и в Россию Прекратила продажу новых лицензий Отказалась продлевать существующие контракты Если вы сейчас скачаете TeamViewer и попробуете подключиться — получите «Невозможно подключиться к партнёру». Всё. Без вариантов. Двадцать лет люди привыкали к этому инструменту, а потом в один день он просто перестал работать. Соник, что ты сделал?

If you experience font size is too small on flatpak version of AnyDesk UI, you can adjust it using flatseal. Change GDK_SCALE to 2.

Hm, okay, muss ich bei Gelegenheit einfach mal ausprobieren. Hatte vor ein paar Monaten mal probiert, einen alten Rechner, der im Keller stand, via Rustdesk fernzusteuern. Hat einfach nicht funktioniert. Aber Teamviewer und Anydesk auch nicht. 🙃

Not a fan of #AnyDesk that much - I mean, I used their software and it works - but I've to give them credit where it is due:

• Combatting #Scammers that abuse their tool is a better approach than merely putting a banner warning up that scammers circumvent with #VPN|s or connection reversals.

Obviously this is first and foremost a #markting ploy; but if it destroys #ScamCallcenters then that's good.

In my tower's Arch Plasma boot, like you i only use the Wayland session option, ignoring the X11 option.

In my tower's Kinoite Plasma boot, being Fedora there is no X11, only W.

My lappy also runs Kinoite. It is impossible to remote access it using FOSS from my tower, afaik, because neither #RustDesk nor #AnyDesk yet support a Wayland remote pc.

I don't understand why more users are not worried about this.

@9to5linux@floss.social @kde@floss.social does any #FOSS #remoteaccess app, like #RustDesk & #AnyDesk, have a solution cooking in the oven for the dire problem of connecting TO a Wayland pc? Atm it can't be done, which is very problematic.

i wonder if by then any remote access GUI FOSS pgm will be able to connect to a remote Wayland pc? At the moment it's a miserable exercise. Connecting from Plasma Wayland works for me in #RustDesk & #AnyDesk, but only if the remote pc is windoze, or an X11 penguin. If it's a Wayland penguin, then no go.

Note though that for some time #TeamViewer has been able to do this, but i actively dislike TV & sincerely want a #FOSS solution.

- in my tower's newest [3rd] boot, #Fedora #Kinoite #Wayland, i simply could not get either of those to work properly, regardless of as #Flatpaks, via #Distrobox, or even layered atop the base system. However, happily, RD also comes as an #AppImage, which does work !!

note the above pertain to connections to dad's windoze pc only. otoh, my lappy also runs a Wayland DE, & it is impossible to connect to, afaict -- nothing i have tried works, coz Wayland on the remote pc seems to be an unsolved problem of r/a apps.

a remote desktop software like #anydesk/#rustdesk is pretty freaking useless on #wayland if unattended access is just not possible, as it is that is. might be the most frustrating thing since leaving #x11.

In my Lappy's atomic immutable, Fedora Kinoite, in prior months when i was setting it up, ALL attempts to be able to connect to Dad's pc with either AnyDesk or RustDesk, via either Flatpaks & overlaid rpm pkgs, failed. Hence, now in Tower's KDELinux i've not even bothered with those two flatpaks, not to mention that this atomic does not have a(n easy) way to overlay. Happily i found recently that AppImage works well for VeraCrypt in KDELinux, so i wondered if any of AnyDesk, RustDesk, or NoMachine might have an AI option... & yes, RD does! Aaaaaaand... it works - both for remote-access desktop control, & for file-transfer - yippee!

So, now that i have found effective workarounds for the last lingering papercuts in KDELinux, which hitherto stopped this otherwise lovely OS being able to be my fulltime daily system [remote-access ✅, VeraCrypt ✅, backups ✅, virtual machines ✅], i tentatively now conclude that henceforth i'll only boot back into either Arch or Sparky when i want to, rather than til now each time i needed to [for the preceding issues] 🎉 🥳 👯‍♀️

The ongoing failure of the ArchLinux Distrobox in my KDELinux [but no other DB] remains galling [not least that coz it does not work i had to find other ways to solve those tricky app issues], but now it is no longer significantly holding me back.

❌ Tip: installeer NOOIT software op advies van iemand die belt, appt, chat of mailt. Zélfs geen virusscanner.

✅ Als u er zelf te weinig van begrijpt: neem een betrouwbaar iemand in de arm die dat FYSIEK bij u thuis komt doen, of ga naar een bibliotheek met digitale helpers (https://hulp-bij-internetten.bibliotheek.nl/).

♨️ Problemen:

🔹 Met een RAT (Remote Access Tool) kan iemand via internet (op afstand!) uw PC, tablet of smartphone OVERNEMEN. Dat *kan* handig zijn als iemand u écht wil helpen, maar ook kan uw BANKREKENING WORDEN GEPLUNDERD.

🔹 AnyDesk en Teamviewer zijn bekende RATs (er zijn er veel meer) voor Windows-PC's, Mac's, smartphones en tablets.

🔹 Vorig jaar kon u naar "avast–antivirus․com" (een nepwebsite) gestuurd worden om ●zogenaamd● Avast Antivirus te downloaden; uit NIETS bleek dat die site NEP was. Als test deed ik dat: het bleek om "AnyDesk" te gaan. Geen "malware" dus geen virusscanner-alarm!

💩 IT'ers: wees geen PIECE OF SHIT. Vraag NOOIT remote om software te installeren, want geen enkel potentieel slachtoffer kan online nep van echt onderscheiden. De volgende beller kan een bankhelpdeskfraudeur zijn!
