The simple fact that ChatGPT #o1preview now takes a little time to think before it answers makes it already seem more intelligent to me.

Previously it was so fast in answering that I sometimes thought: "you didn't think this through did you?"

There is a way to hire coders on online marketplaces like #upwork and keep your sanity.

Glad to see that #Slack now added myself as a potential person to talk to. Finally someone will listen to what I have to say.

Oh no, I just realized the reason I am procastrinating is because I need to startup my windows vm again...

Read this somewhere and I can't get it out of my mind:

"If your backlog keeps expanding, it may be a sign you need more customer conversations."

Probably because it's true.

@ghalldev hopefully, this is not the start of a downward spiral where everything gets worse over time. I wish you the best of luck!

@ghalldev What happened?

Saving songs from #spotify Discover Weekly list makes it remarkably better after a few weeks. The algorithm got me.

@bowreality Switched to #linuxmint for those reasons a year back. Running a little vmware on the side to launch MS Office and 1 or 2 other windows specific pgms when I need them.

Here's one for those Windows user's sitting on the fence.

My laptop has Linux Mint, Gnome Desktop, KVM/QEMU, Brave, Proton Suite, Libre Office and whatever else comes with the standard install.

As you can see, this entire file system and all my apps and data use ~11% of my 250GB NVME SSD.

So, if you're low on resources or power, I suggest you give it a try before spending money on upgraded hardware.

Screenshot showing the disk usage of a full Linux Mint setup - about 27GB.
