I just documented a way to have a Session view & an Arranger view at the same time in Reaper.

This is nothing special really. There are other tools available that do this. The key difference, is that I wanted to have a way to do it, using just Reaper...& maybe a script.

Anyone who tells you that Reaper can't have a session view is wrong. :)

This is an Orchestral patch bank for Nils' K1v plugin.

It is an emulation of the Kawai K1 8bit synthesizer--a complete recreation!!

There is another patch bank called Fantasy. This is a very nice pcm based synth (rompler), for those who love the lo-fi sound.

Looks like I can use UADx plugins now. They have some GUI related crashes, like the Arturia plugins, but when they are dialed in, you don't need the GUIs anyway - so I'll live with that. This has been fixed in Wine 11, but those fixes has not yet come to Proton/Wine-cachyos, so I'll have to wait.

Solution to install: Get UA Connect on your Linux and a PC, install everything on the PC, move files to your wine-folder and activate the plugins in UA connect through wine.

These are truly great times for Linux audio. I had been searching for a good granular effect plugin for a long time. And now there are two of them: GRN from FRCTL and Angels from Sequins. Since Angels is too overpriced for me, I'm sticking with GRN. It implements all the features I want very well.

Yeah, I'm really disappointed about it. Loomer's Strings and Aspect 2 were both really nice plugins that I wanted to eventually get.

@bedlamsteps I wasn't aware that Roland Cloud stuff ran with WINE/yabridge. This is great to know!!!

I've had a Roland Cloud account since it launched and get a new synth on the loyalty programme every year. Their new CR-78 plugin is part of it so I've had a play with it this afternoon. It runs perfectly with yabridge.

@limneticvillains Thank you for the suggestion! I actually am a long time Black Friday purchaser of Samples From Mars. It is an awesome resource!!! There is a nice VP-330 sample set that they have.
