Good morning everyone 🌻 I'm up early with the parrots today and just having a wee cuddle with Ziggy before the madness if my work day starts again. She's currently tucked up in my left hand grumbling away to herself and saying " Uh huh" every now and then, to which I have to respond in kind.

And now she has run up my arm and dived into my sleeve again, giving me a little nip just for the fun of it. It is definitely her new favourite place, because she can hide and make me jump and yell "Ouch!" at the same time, and then she chuckles away to herself when I do so 😊 Certainly wakes me up, that's for sure!

Right, she's digging a hole down the side of the couch again now, so time to interrupt her for her medicine and breakfast and then coffee and work for me.

Good morning my Fine Fedi Friends 💕 I'm up early with the parrots again today after good rest. I only woke up once during the night, which is really good for me.

I'm currently sitting being preened by Ziggy who is tattooing my neck again with her precise little beak. It is really quite painful, but I have to sit still and bear it as any jerking results in her giving me ear a good nip 🥴 She will take no nonsense from her preenee that's for sure! 😂

She's now down under my cardigan at my side "digging" again. I don't think the hormones every really turn off for Ziggy. She's definitely worse at certain times of year, but she's always hormonal. Luckily, in all her years, she has never tried to lay an egg, not even when we had Frodo, who was male. He was a sickly boy from the time we got him though, bless his wee sweet soul.

She's now gone in for breakfast after having demanded "Come! Come!" and taken her medication like a pro. She definitely takes well to the tiny bit fruit feast egg food we now give her in the morning, constantly telling me it's "Good!" and making "Mmm" noises as she eats it 😊

I finished the competition toy yesterday finally 🙌 so today Grognak and Ethera will be heading out into the Shadow Cursed Lands again in BG3 to find the House of Healing and figure out how to wake up Art Cullagh.

Good morning Fellow Travellers on the Galactic Spiral Arm 🌌 I'm up with the parrots today and currently sitting having a lovely cuddle with Ziggy, who is in my hand, grumbling away with contentment. She is very lively after her ordeal on Thursday and bright as a button, which I am very happy to report. She has now moved inside the sleeve of my cardigan and is having great fun nipping me under the arm and making me go "Ouch!" 😊

And now we are back, after a brief interlude for Ziggy to take her meds. I've found that using Fruit Feast egg food in the morning does the trick. It requires only a tiny amount on the tip of the teaspoon to soak up all the medication and Zigs wolf's it down and even licks the spoon 😁

She's now down beside my leg and the side of the couch "digging". Ziggy loves doing this and will happily "dig" for ages. I wonder if they dig holes in nature for nesting, because there's obviously a powerful instinct there. I don't let her get too into it though as it just makes her broody.

Plans for today are to finally go out with Ethera and Grognak in BG3 again after a hiatus of a few weeks. We'll be picking our way carefully around the Shadow Cursed Lands. Well, I say "we", but no doubt Grognak will land the party in a pickle as is his wont 😂

Good morning everyone 🌞 I'm up early with the parrots again today and Ziggy has just gone in for breakfast (I remembered her food this time ☺️) after a game of "Where's Ziggy?" played with her up the sleeve of my cardigan under my arm, which is now her favourite spot apparently. Wee video attached.

Work today, so I will keep this brief to gear up for the Monday Inbox of Doom.

Good morning everyone 🌞 I'm up early with the parrots again today and Ziggy has finally decided to go in for her breakfast after a session of her demanding "Come! Come!" to get me to take her over to the cage, then her flying back to the couch going "Tee hee hee!" all very pleased with herself for having fooled me again. Repeated this a few times until she grew tired of the game and then went to sit on top of Jadie's cage for a bit to annoy her. It's good to see the little scamp in fine spirits like this.😊

I have a busy Parrot Kitchen today as I need to make chop, cook broth mix, sort out quinoa and steam veggies. I think I need to hire a chef just to keep up with the meals for the Crew 😂

After that I will be working on the crochet order I need to post next week. I'm hoping to get it finished before the weekend if I can though, so I can then concentrate in finishing off the competition toy and hopefully also post that sometime next week.

Good morning everyone ☀️ I'm up early with the parrots today and Ziggy has already gone in for breakfast, having taken her meds no bother at all after giving Grant grief again when he tried yesterday 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think I'm going to have to get up with him the next time he tries to see where it's going wrong. It could just be that Zigs knows he is a pushover and will act up with him in ways she generally doesn't try often with me. When she acts up with me I just use the stern Mummy voice and her Sunday name "Ziggy Stardust Macaw!" and you can see her thinking, "Uh, oh!" and rethinking her behaviour. Parrots are so like little children in many ways 😊

Work again today. Already ramping up to ultra busy with about a dozen issues to solve, so I'll be opening the laptop shortly.

Good morning Fine Fedi Folk 💕 I'm up early with the parrots today again. Ziggy has just kindly taken all of her meds and now gone in for breakfast after a wee cuddle session and some "Where's Ziggy?", which now takes place when she runs down inside the sleeve of my cardigan, pops her wee head out at the wrist and yells "Ceek-a-boo!" before heading back up to my shoulder again making "tee hee hee" noises 😊 This is a new favourite, though not so much for me, as she also likes to nip the delicate skin under my arm to see me jump and go "Ouch!". Little imp 😂

I had a great time playing BG3 yesterday - the Bard is such a fun build to play with and surprisingly powerful. I also finally find out how to activate the Lance due to her devil may care attitude - whoops! 🫣😂 Not even Grognak did that on our co-op play through , probably because Ethera was there being the adult in the room and steering him right.

Today though, as much as I would love to play again, I am going to finally sort out my self assessment tax return. Shout out to @AnnonBudgie who inspired me by all the form filling yesterday 😊 I have been really bad with record keeping this year due to all the personal stuff that went on, so I fully expect it to take me all day to sort everything out, but I'll be happy when it's done.

Good morning everyone 🌞 I'm up early again despite the fact it's supposed to be a long lie day for me. Grant managed to get Ziggy to take her meds this morning, but then he couldn't get her back into the cage and he has an occupational health call at 9 he's nervous about (and has been up most of the night worrying about, anxious chap that he is) so I took pity on him and let him go back to bed for a few hours. Ziggy is now in her cage, eating away happily and I have my first (of many) coffees of the day 😊

Good news on the blood work yesterday - her uric acid has gone down from the last time, so it looks like it was just a blip and her kidneys are okay. The vet suggested we still keep her on the current lower dose of the diuretic though as it's working well and both her heart and lungs are sounding good. Happy , happy 😁

Plans for today are to sort out all the Xmas gifts we were given, despite telling everyone we weren't doing Xmas this year, and then some gaming. Back to BG3 where I think I'll take my Bard, Phoenix, out for a bit as she is such fun to play. We're off to the Githyanki Crèche in her campaign and it will be interesting to see how it plays out with her character since she doesn't give a toss about upsetting anyone if she thinks she's in the right (and often when she knows she's in the wrong 😉).

Good morning everyone. I'm up early with the parrots again. Not planned, but Grant couldn't get Ziggy to take her medication so I had to get up and step in. Luckily, I had a lot of rest yesterday and went to bed at 6:30 PM, so I was awake anyway ☺️

I'm now sitting with the little minx, who is preening my neck (shingles again!) and making little growls and grumbles of contentment. I'm glad she's content, even if it means having to forgo my longer lie. Grant's going to give it another go tomorrow after some further instructions from me - we'll see how it goes 😊

Today is going to be busy. We have a big shop to do and need to prep a bunch of food for this evening and get the cages all cleaned before we head out to the V-E-T with Ziggy this afternoon for more blood tests, as we won't have time to do all that after we get back. V-E-T days are always frantic, but more so when they are later in the afternoon as we need to leave a lot earlier due to traffic.

If I get a chance, I may crochet for a bit in between.

Good morning everyone 🌞 I'm up early with the parrots again today, but it was a bit of a different morning as Grant got up with me for a bit (he's now gone back to bed 😊) to help clean the cages and observe how I give Ziggy her medicine as he's going to give it a try on Monday so I can hopefully finally get a long lie. Ziggy was very vocal when she heard me in the kitchen, contact calling like crazy, so to save my poor poor neighbours I got her out early and took her over for a cuddle while Grant cleaned the cages.

She's in really good form at the moment, being a total bossy boots and a demanding little madame, which makes me very happy 😊 We go back to the V-E-T on Monday to take some more blood and check her kidneys. We'll see what happens after that with the meds.

Plans for today are to do some gaming for a change. Grant and I exchanged Steam vouchers for Xmas, so I may have a look at the Winter Sale. I quite fancy the Oblivion Remaster and also Pentiment, both of which are on sale right now.

Good morning you fine Fedi Folk 💕 I'm up early with the parrots again today so I can make sure Ziggy takes her medication. Grant's a bit nervous about giving it to her now so I'll just take over for a while and snooze during the day if I get too tired 🥱

She's still doing well. A wee bit nasally sounding again, which I have let the vet know about, but hopefully no return of the breathing difficulties of last week. It's a bit stressful heading into Xmas now as there won't be a vet available if we need one in a hurry. There's an out of hours emergency vet, but it's all the way in Glasgow, and costs an absolute fortune (£300 just for a consultation!) so really hoping we don't ever need to make use of it. 🫣 She has a follow up appointment on Monday next week to have more blood taken and have her lungs and heart checked again. Fingers crossed 🤞

My daughter and the grandsons should pop in for a flying visit later. They are headed up North to spend Xmas with my sister's and nieces and I asked them to stop off to pick up some gifts on the way. It will be nice to see them, however briefly 😊

Plans beyond that are to work on the competition toy and watch something. I started Stranger Things from the beginning again so I might watch that, but am also binge watching old episodes of Have I got News For You for the laughs.

Good morning everyone 🌞 I'm up later today after a nice long lie. I'm now sitting listening to Classic FM with the parrots and enjoying a delicious first cup of coffee (why is that first one always like ambrosia?)

Ziggy is grumbling away on her perch, quite content. She gave Grant some trouble with her meds mix again this morning so I may have to give up long lies for a while and get up to make sure she takes it. We have been asked by the vet to reduce the dose of the fluid clearing meds a bit for now as some of Ziggy's blood results show higher uric acid which means she was either a bit dehydrated when they took the blood, or there may be an issue with her kidneys as well. But since the meds are what reduce the fluid on her lungs it's a bit of a balancing act. We will have to go back again in the next week or so to have more blood taken 🥴 I have had elevated uric acid results before that haven't shown up on a second attempt, so hoping it's the same.

Grant and I had a good day playing BG3 yesterday and we actually did the Adamantine Forge quite quickly - mainly because Grant actually listened to what I was telling him we should do this time 😊 We entered the Shadow cursed lands and Grognak quickly went off script again, but realised pretty quickly he should listen when told to make sure he was always within a light source 😂

Plans for today are to go out and hunt down some physical gift card vouchers for my grandsons and nieces so I can send them up with my daughter next week, and then I can finally start working on the competition toy 😊

Good evening everyone ✨ I am glad to report that Ziggy is home. She is very tired and so hungry she almost ate the chrome off the spoon I gave her the meds on, but she's breathing okay and is her usual mischievous self🙂

We now have her on a third medication, which is the one to clear the fluid in her lungs. I spoke to the vet about the issues we had with giving Zigs meds in the morning. She said, whatever you need to give her to get the medication into her - even a tiny bit of toast if needs be - is fine. So we'll see how it goes tomorrow.

We're hoping the crisis is over for now, but we have the vets available up till Xmas day if we need them and an emergency number for when they are closed.

Ziggy and I thank you all for your kindness and well wishes. We both appreciate it very much ❤️

Good evening everyone ✨ I'm late today, because, unfortunately we had to rush Ziggy to the vet this morning for an emergency appointment as she was having difficulty breathing.

Good news is that she's okay. She's still at the vet and will be staying overnight in a cozy incubator with added oxygen. She has had X-rays and blood taken. The X-rays show she has congestion in her wee lungs, which is causing some stress on her heart again. She's been given an intravenous jab to try and clear that up and looks to be on more meds from now on. We'll find out about that tomorrow when we pick her up.

So, all plans for today went right out the window, but hopefully back to normal tomorrow.
