Quería mostrar que lo que hago no es con IA porque sé que a algunos les importa. Aquí, un dibujo de un personaje a medio hacer como una demostración de que lo hago yo. Éste es un estilo pixel art, aunque no suelo hacer esto. Pero ahora es un buen momento para el pixel art.

Adding nitro cotton to the solvent mix. It is bizarre seeing it dissolve into the solvents. By the third mix I was really pulling it apart and mixing in each little poof before adding another.

The coating on my 12mm tube stir stick was thick, but totally covered. It burned off cleanly after waving it through the crossfire a bit- very nice since I plan on renting a kiln and don't want to make a big stinky kiln mess.

It coats the glass really well- I can definitely see how this could be the way to go once I maybe sieve out all the chunky cotton bits and mix in phosphor powders!

Although organic solvents aren't necessarily eco friendly, at least the leftover solvent in this method just evaporates. The "eco friendly" water based method has some water soluble solvents that are highly toxic to aquatic life- and they don't just evaporate easily.

Yesterday I began a project I have been thinking about for some time- to put a sphere inside of a sphere. So I made the middle sphere- ruby red! Blood red!

@alifeeney said it looked like a strawberry. It was so little it was really giving me a hard time with the tight welds and leaks an all. I called it the little shit after two trips to the manifold and I was still finding cracks an leaks!

So the little shit strawberry finally made it. I may have blown off my local makerspace craft night again- but I came away victorious with a pretty red "Strawberry"

Gosh it sure is dense! - gotta be petite to fit inside the other one. I suppose if I scrounged up some baby electrodes I could go even smaller. I like the red light though with another cheaper green tinted warm white I have in mind of the outside.

Spring being bombarded The glass looses its resistiveness as it heats up, and the electricity I am using to heat it wants to punch a hole straight through the glass to find a shortcut. So there are mica sheets stuffed between all potential shortcuts. And a piece of paper to tell me when the tube is hot. The red is dark from being hot.

The "little shit" strawberry being made sitting and cooling off after I added the electrode facing in and a little tubulation tail. The tail lets me use cheap O donated electrodes- which are all non tubulated. It also lets me easily remove it from the manifold.

You can see my blowhose attached to the tail, my green glass electrode holder running up the center and the top of the berry all brown from being hot (I just was heating that weld). The black glove keeps my hand comfy from the splash heat coming off my crossfire torch.

I have the tenancy of starting a new #illustration and sometimes not finishing them. This #WIPWednesday I drew #ClaudeMonet and I started to block out the colors. I had planned to add more detail, but I lost steam and just stopped working on it. :/

I finally got around to varnishing a few of my larger paintings. I've been putting it off, I think, because varnishing is pretty scary for me. I've gotten it wrong before and ruined paintings. On the upside, when I get the varnish right, it not only protects the painting but usually makes it look better in an extremely satisfying way.
