There is the BLUF - Bottom Line Up Front idea, I think used in some military circles.
Maybe many are using the old SPIN technique (Situation, Problem, Implication, Need) building up to the punchline or *call to action*, like a whodunnit story.
But at 500 charters, not a lot or room for waffle in a toot.
