Doro Pesch Announces Exclusive VIP Event in New Jersey to Celebrate a Defining Era of Warlock

Doro Pesch, the legendary voice of Warlock and one of heavy metal’s most enduring icons, will host an intimate VIP event on the 21st of March at Dingbatz in Clifton, New Jersey. Doors open at 7.00 PM, with the performance beginning at 8.00 PM, offering fans a rare opportunity to experience a landmark moment in her history up close.

The evening marks the anniversary of “True as Steel,” the first Warlock album to be released in the United States in 1986. Its arrival coincided with Doro’s debut promotional tour across America, beginning in New York and introducing her to the country during a vibrant and influential period for heavy metal. That first visit became a turning point in her life, sparking a deep affection for American audiences and inspiring the creative momentum that shaped Warlock’s next chapter.

The energy and passion she encountered on that tour directly influenced the creation of Triumph and Agony, the band’s breakthrough 1987 album that carried Warlock to international prominence. The record featured the anthemic “All We Are”, a song that became a global hit and remains one of the most recognisable and celebrated choruses in heavy metal, firmly establishing Doro as a worldwide figurehead of the genre.

The Dingbatz event will feature a full-band acoustic performance designed to bring fans closer to the heart of the music. Classic Warlock songs, fan favourites from this pivotal era, and select newer material will be reimagined in a powerful and personal setting that highlights the emotional core of Doro’s work.

Reflecting on the occasion, Doro Pesch says: “ “True as Steel” will always mean so much to me because it was my first American release and the beginning of my journey in the United States, starting in New York. I fell in love with the country straight away, especially the people, the atmosphere, and the incredible metal fans. That first experience inspired Triumph and Agony and the song All We Are. I am so excited to celebrate this music in such a close and heartfelt way and to spend time with everyone in New Jersey. It will be a night filled with love and gratitude.”

Still don't have public documentation or a pretty project page for Warlock - https://github.com/BitsNBytes25/Warlock, but we're working on pretty graphs at least!

Currently we are tracking API response time, player count, game memory and cpu usage, and up/down. If server operators have more metrics for game servers that would be useful, let us know!

Simple dashboard that shows 4 graphs; one for CPU usage, another with memory usage, another with player count, and the last with server status. The server status indicates a drop to "offline" with correlated spikes in memory and cpu.

@HeyeBodo ich habe erstmalig das #Warlock! RPG-System sowohl am Tisch als auch online leiten können.

Mir hat die schlanke Regel-Struktur, die offensichtliche Nähe zu #WFRPG1e mit ein paar netten Ergänzungen (Pluck vs Luck) und die leichte Übertragbarkeit der Abenteuer aus WFRPG in das System gefallen.

Nicht so ganz gelungen finde ich eine Vielzahl der möglichen Zusatzregeln, die das System bei Verwendung unnötig aufblähen würden. Aber ist ja nur optional 🤷🏼‍♂️
