Publisher not stated, not numbered.

Postally used on 16 March 1916 with double circle Uxbridge cancellation on red one penny stamp and sent to Mr A.E. McDonald, Scottwood Apartments, Toledo, Ohio by his brother, and redirected to The Dunscomb, 711 Superior Street with postmark for Toledo, Ohio on 30 March 1916. It should be noted that C.V. McDonald was the architect of The Dunscomb in the 1890s and may have been the father of the brothers. C.V. McDonald is suspected of previously changing his name from Joseph Calentine to escape his wife and children. There is a note to the front to state that Hillingdon House is the Canadian Convalescent Hospital for troops injured on the front lines in the First World War, which was the case from 1915 to 1917.

Good condition, with slight corner bumps, but slight bend or light crease to the top left.

First Bus is launching two new express services to #Uxbridge from High Wycombe and #Slough from Monday 2 March. The M40 express will link High Wycombe and Uxbridge every 30 minutes, taking around 20 minutes and providing a faster, direct alternative to driving. The X74 service from Slough will be extended to #Uxbridge via Uxbridge Road, cutting journey times to about 20 minutes and offering a one-fare, direct trip for commuters. George Burton, Head of Network, said the services offer a simple, reliable, and stress-free option, connecting key Buckinghamshire towns with north west #London and local #Underground lines.

Picture shows the support columns for the A40 London to Oxford road just before it becomes the M40.

This has been colonised by local graffiti artists over many years, The picture shows a vanishing point some way in the distance with graffiti art going all the way to the vanishing point.

A local graffiti artist who committed suicide some years ago sadly, is also often remembered in their work, the lead artists here meet up annually to tidy up this commemoration and create new works of art in his memory.
