Today is the first time I’ve been able to sit down and watch #TDU.

The coverage is SHIT!!!

What on earth is with showing the race in a mini window and random crap on the larger side??

Channel 7 are completely misreading the room.

Also, while I’m venting - let Phil retire. I’m so glad we don’t get him for grand tours anymore.

@spinopsys I do believe in climate change but heat at both the #TDU and #AO has always been an issue. We went to the AO 34 years ago and left because it was 40+. We went back to the hotel and watched from air con. Mum grew up near Adelaide and talked of regular 105F days in summer 90 years ago.

@MrAndrewD I'm glad we don't get him for the Giro or TDF. He was having lots of trouble keeping up with the newer riders in the #TDU

I was intending to ride my mountain bike today but my body, particularly my elbow, isn't happy about that. So I'm gonna watch the rest of the #tdu then swallow some painkillers and head out on my road bike.

The way Plapp is riding, he must think there is a teammate up the road 😉

I think Matt and Macka and Robbie must have had a discussion prior to the #tdu and said, what can we do with the old fart Phil? Ah, breakaway gap clock!
Because that is absolutely Phil's focus, except sometimes he gets it wrong and they gently correct him.
I love Phil but as he gets older, he gets a bit more unpredictable with slightly-off comments eg about the French yesterday, even though he lives in France. #couchpeloton

@mativity I sent a complaint to TDU on the first day when they had an ad on the first intermediate sprint.
To be fair they didn't do that again.
I tried to send the complaint to Channel 7 but the only details on their website and app "contact us" was a physical address and a landline. No email.
NB I think Channel 7 is at least better than that Ch 9 atrocious rugby bozo they had a few years ago

It's interesting that I heard Matt Keenan on a podcast say that their commentary ( Matt, Robbie and Phil) is continuous as they are creating the #TDU world feed. 7Plus obviously elects to take less than 50% of that with all It's interviews, promos, and long ad breaks 😳
