@sphcow As much as I have deep #splinternet concerns, what's being demonstrated isn't necessarily fragmentation. It's being demonstrated that freedom of access and expression for the Internet is not universal. This was already true for economic reasons.
Most of our reminders about this tend to be inconsistent censorship regimes.

I'm waiting for the traditional purveyors of DDoS "services" to start offering "AI scraping" as a service.
As someone that works on routing technologies, it's things like this that will eventually start driving #splinternet partitioning of network resources - just to separate legitimate parties from the parasites.
The Internet requires voluntary coordination between engineers, operators, civil society, and governments to function. The alternative is top-down authoritarian control, which leads to a fragmented #splinternet. 4/
