Okay "Last Light" has had a bit more work. I'm MUCH happier with this version - I think the vibe has really come together how I was imagining it.

Foreground: In the lower-left, a sturdy wooden cabin is tucked into the snow. A vibrant fire pit burns nearby, casting a deep orange glow on the timber and surrounding frost.

Midground: A small settlement of similar huts and skeletal, leafless trees winds through the valley. Smoke rises faintly into the air, and birds soar through the sky.

Background: Massive, steep mountains flank the scene, their craggy faces dusted with white snow. In the center, the sun is partially obscured by thick, dramatic clouds, creating a powerful "god ray" effect that bathes the valley in a brilliant, hazy gold.

New art, "Last Light". All made in Blender, composited with RapidRAW.

Took around 50 hours in total, with a stonking 12hr render time and maxing out all 24GB VRAM 😅 but at least the rendering kept my flat warm.

Made with True-Terrain, True-Sky, True-VDB and the KitBash3D Valhalla asset pack.

Always keen for feedback to help me improve - would love to hear your thoughts, positive or negative.

USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E, a sleek Sovereign-class starship with distinctive saucer section and elongated nacelles, flies through space above a cybernetic Borg-assimilated planet. The world below is covered in massive geometric structures, industrial towers, and interconnected cubes glowing with eerie green lights characteristic of Borg technology. The starship is illuminated against the dark space backdrop, with stars scattered throughout. The heavily industrialized planetary surface shows no organic features, completely transformed into a mechanical nightmare of angular architecture and pulsing green energy conduits stretching to the horizon.

Wrote a quick and dirty .obj loader for the Utah teapot (1975 ed. - 216 faces).

@mfuhrmann "Es wird nicht alles gerändert" ist so wie "Welches Schweinerl hätten sie denn gerne?": Du meinst den OSM.org Default Bitmap Renderer. Der ist bald out, es kommt ein Vektor Renderer. Der wird auch nicht alles Rendern, zumindest erst mal. Schon weil nicht alles in den Vektor-Tiles ist. Mein "Traum" ist, das es beim maximalen Zoom entweder eine 2te Tile mit allem Restlichen gibt. Oder der Renderer "nach" dem MaxZoom noch weiter geht, aber direkt vom OSM-API wirklich alles holt. Für sowas würde ich sogar mit coden mögen.
Derweil: Mit 2ter Maus "query features" bekommst du sogar die Öffnungszeiten der Einfahrtssperre.

OSM findet "Liebig Haustechnik" - bei Fulda. Was wird nicht gerändert? Z.B die Lampen. OSMgo kennt diesen Objekt-Typ sowie ammenty=shrubbery auch noch nicht, macht nur Dummies hin.
Du hast die Solar-Dinger noch nicht getagt. OSM2World rendert die. Und die Gnüddel auf dem Dach. Und die Kisten am Zaun Süd-Ost :-)

I animated this one too!

Getting the chrome to look the way it does was a fun challenge. It didn't reflect anything but the environment in the reference.

I had a good time figuring out how to make the purple wall texture procedurally, too.

The chrome bits in the foreground were supposed to look a little more liquid-like. But I didn't like how the effect jittered in animation, so I just made them blobs.

Maybe something to revisit later.
