@1337core Ja aber: Ohne die Mobilfunkprovider geht nichts. Auf Android-Seite übernimmt Google die Verschlüsselung, ein bekannter Kritikpunkt. Auf iOS-Seite werden es Telekom & Co. machen müssen. Zumindest wird dann hoffentlich öffentlich, welche Verschlüsselung Google nutzt. WhatsApp kommt mir jedenfalls nicht aufs Gerät, aber Apple oder Google Messages sind auf Smartphones vorinstalliert.

definitely advancement but the question remains if one should even activate it, seeing that the whole system runs over G🤮🤮gle servers.
I certainly will think thrice as it's a major privacy violation, feeding the evil monster and one of the reasons I would not touch Android in the first place.
Unless Apple has a plan and puts a proxy in between.
Das iPhone bekommt in der Beta RCS Messaging End to End Encryption Support (auch noch Beta Status). iPhone und Android können wohl in Zukunft auch ohne WhatsApp etc. verschlüsselt Nachrichten / Dateien austauschen.

Per ara només es poden fer proves entre usuaris de iOS a la espera que els operadors de telefonia mòbil espanyols activin el xifrat (actualment cap ho té activat).
