A few days ago, we introduced the first of two premieres from the upcoming release on Daktilar Recordings, the electronic music label directed and meticulously curated by ekøs. Based in Argentina, the label is preparing to unveil its fourth reference, led by Leandro Daniel Ocamica, better known as Ocamicax. Born in Pontevedra, Buenos Aires, and raised in the town of Libertad, Ocamicax shapes his sonic identity through an unconventional blend of influences ranging from techno, groove, and tribal rhythms to thrash, metal, nu metal, dub, downtempo, trip hop, reggae, and jazz. His background as a trombonist subtly informs his approach to rhythm, space, and texture.

Solución Inesperada consists of four original tracks built around a deeply introspective and ritualistic concept. The narrative behind the EP speaks of fleeting encounters and complicit glances, of a shared search unfolding through altered states of perception. Rather than embracing rebellion, the music leans toward a conscious surrender to impermanence, to passing emotions and the intensity of living fully in the present moment. Catharsis emerges as acceptance: enjoying the now in its raw reality, knowing that everything ends, and moving forward without fear.

Facultades Alteradas, the second track in the collection, embodies this perceptual shift with striking clarity. From its opening moments, the listening experience feels unsettled—intermittent effects, mixed signals, and fragmented textures create an atmosphere of initial disorientation. Soon, mysterious latencies arise, hovering between the extraterrestrial and the archaic, as if the sound were torn between distant planets and ancient terrestrial pasts. A continuous hypnotic flow deepens altered mental states, resulting in a track where sonic design and conceptual intent align with remarkable precision.
