If the main burden are elaborate stage sets, star singers, and exec payouts, maybe thats were the razor should be placed first??

Reuse your stage sets, train your own singers, and stop paying a premium for execs that cant make sustainable decisions.

In 1986, she performed AIDA for the last time at The MET and also performed at the Baths of Caracalla, San Diego, and San Francisco.❤️

I could say a lot about the Met Opera’s current production of Anthony and Cleopatra, but hundreds of patrons decided at intermission last night that they’d had enough, so I’ll just leave it there.

I will say this: can we PLEASE have stories onstage that don’t feature women in sexual roles, or women being used as pawns for male power?

Of all the stories that could be told—why do we keep choosing the patriarchic viewpoint?
