There is much I dislike about Facebook. One of the more annoying things was people posting math problems that were (in my opinion) just written poorly so people start fighting about order of operations. People really REALLY like to fight about it
So for a time I posted some other math challenges for my friends that weren't just annoying nonsense. I came across one today I had forgotten about.
I have a strong feeling that today's mscroggs.co.uk Advent problem has a bug
Or am I missing something?
(Double-checked with my son and he too feels there's at least one typo).
EDIT: No error, we unconsciously set an arbitrary restriction on the digit position that made it impossible.

The optimal solution is the one with the lowest maximum-member.
(If that were "product" instead of "sum", the obvious solution would be the first `l` primes.)

- nur gerade Linien
- keine Sprünge, Kombinationen wie 1zu3 sind ungültig, da sie automatisch zu 1-2-3 würden
- eine Zahl darf zweimal besucht werden, wird beim zweiten Mal aber nicht mehr mitgezählt, zB 1-5-9-8-7-(5)-3
- schräg ist erlaubt, zB 1zu6

At least it was easier to calculate than the last math exam I had in college. Given a parabula ax^2 up to a height h, rotate it around the y axis to make a vase, fill it to half its volume, to what angle can you tilt this vase before the water spills (disregard physical effects)
