SS26 NEWS:
Two new names enter the current. Two different ways to rupture the room.
25 MARCH — Bootycall (DK) joins Lord Spikeheart
Bootycall crashes into 25 March like a blown speaker in a damp basement. Raw, abrasive, gloriously unrestrained. This is noise that doesn’t ask for permission — blown-out distortion, feedback storms, rough-hewn collages scraping against the limits of form.
Emerging from Copenhagen’s DIY undercurrent and orbiting the Kvindelig label’s extreme cassette ecology, Bootycall made impact with Ass Of An Angel — a tape steeped in high-gain saturation and chaotic bursts. It’s harsh noise as physical encounter. Texture over polish. Impact over comfort.
Paired with Lord Spikeheart, expect a night that doesn’t so much unfold as detonate. Come prepared to surrender. Or resist. Both are valid.
9 APRIL — Civilistjävel! joins Mayssa Jallad Trio
Civilistjävel!, the alias of Tomas Bodén, has quietly built one of the most magnetic minimal catalogues of the past decade. Since 2018, via Glasgow’s FELT imprint and beyond, his work has drifted through ambient, minimal techno, and dub — patient repetition, negative space, low frequencies glowing like distant machinery along Sweden’s High Coast.
Recent collaborations have widened the aperture. On Brödföda (2024), outside voices entered his rationed minimalism — including Mayssa Jallad, whose presence carried a fragile luminosity into the shadows. Their dialogue continued with Marjaa: The Battle of the Hotels (Versions) — song refracted through cavernous bass weight and vaporous atmospheres, stretched into something porous, immersive, quietly radical.
Now Civilistjävel! joins the Mayssa Jallad Trio on 9 April. Subdued yet magnetic, his reductions linger long after the sound fades. A study in restraint. A lesson in depth.
