Big day, big day! I decanted my #hops extracts. Five varieties infused in oil, since I know I like how the oil works medicinally, and one alcohol tincture just to try. They smell *fantastic*

More hops-posting... I found one (1) herbalist who tried hops topically for general pain and found instant relief. Soothing muscle cramps (including menstrual cramps) is a fairly common use and why I was experimenting with hops in the first place, but I am surprised to not find more discussion about nerve pain, tendonitis, joint pain, etc. Much like this person, so far I have found it works on a lot of things. Neat.

I take multiple, heavy-duty prescription painkillers (I've been on medical leave due to endometriosis pain for several months) so I didn't have big expectations that an herbal salve would make a noticeable difference for me.

And yet! I do notice instant pain relief when I use this hops blend topically.

New on cask this week - "Collective Effort", a beautiful collaboration from #FierceAndNoble and #BristolHopsCollective, green-hopped using Bristol-grown Fuggles, Cascade and Prima Donna hops, among others. The result is traditional malty 4.3% English Pale Ale with just a hint of sweetness.

We've got the heater on to make things all nice and snug, so pop in tonight from 4pm and try it alongside the other great local beers we have on tap.
