Testing the catapilar tracks on the hull.
All catapilar tracks for the AMB-1 have been printed with the resin printer.

Final version of the deck printed and inital paint added. More to come. A new version of the island is under construction.

Adding the backward helicopter hangar and testing the landing boat platform.
An island is needed, as a first test a quick&dirty FDM printed island from an Essex-class carrier, scaled to the correct dimensions.
The next flight deck update, its close to the final version I would say.
The AMB-1 will get hangars, the forward one will store ground vehicles like Snowtractors and Snowcruisers.

A first test for the flight deck. Shape will be enhanced, this is just for size. And, as the hull is a bit bend, this has to be leveled out with the flight deck,
Backward part of the hangar/hull added. There is a little gap in the mifddled, but this can be closed.
Forward hangar/hull is added to the lower hull. Starts to look like a "ship" now.
The second part of the upper hull/hangar. Lets hope that I calculated it correctly and that it will fit together.
Start with the upper hull part. Will use the forward and backward part of the USS Intrepid model for it.
After a lot of putty & sanding, the lower hull parts look good now, so next will be the upper hull.
Name of the AMB-1 will be "USS Elsworth"
