There she was, her dress a beautiful combination of lace and shades of plum and lavender. Her hair was dark, curly, and perfectly framed her face. After nearly bumping into her, their eyes met. She was gorgeous, and it took his breath away. She hadn’t changed one bit in the past nine years. Her eyes shimmered like moonlit waves, bluer than blue, and soft enough to make you believe that drowning might just feel like flying. It was dangerous, this unending desire, and it threatened to swallow him whole. He was too shocked to even speak.
“Alistair, breathe,” murmured the woman, altogether amused. “Aren’t you surprised to see me?”
He swallowed, gaze turned up to the Heavens as if to ask for assistance. He let out a slow exhale, obviously distressed, and rubbed at his eyes with an index finger and thumb. “Yes, sorry. I’m just… bewildered, if we’re being entirely honest.”

Here’s a twist… This wouldn’t be embarrassing for her, but it would be downright humiliating for friends who are fellow werewolves. The answer: If anyone (including this group of friends) ever found out that her *closest* friend was in fact a vampire. That would be Alistair, by the way. She herself wouldn’t be embarrassed about this, she couldn’t care less, but others would be disgusted by her actions.
