A redpoll daintily nibbles on a catkin.

The bird is small and floofed out into a ball, perching on a narrow bare branch, having found a cone (a catkin) to eat. It is directly facing the camera. Its colors are primarily white and mottled brown/yellow, with a soft red "cap" on its head. Its beak is yellow with a dark streak on the top.

The photographer is Stephen Waycott.

The new Muppet Show special was a delight. Amazing how much of the energy of the original show it channelled. Sabrina Carpenter was a great choice as a first(?) guest, her scenes with Miss Piggy were hilarious. Wish it was a bit longer, but crossing fingers, toes, and paws there's more like this to come.
