I've written about the advantages of using a popular platform that allows traders to follow and automatically replicate systematic trading strategies like .net

@akashgoswami #FinToot isn't a thing _yet_ as far as I can tell. Might be time to start a new tradition...

@lance I also miss #FinTwit

The good news with Threads is that once they have fully integrated with ActivityPub, you'll be able to follow people from Threads from any Mastodon instance so I think that helps bridge a major gap

That being said I hope a #FinToot community grows in the future as well

@Two9A I have no idea there was a regular and reoccurring post about premium bonds 😅

Yeah that sort of stuff is quite interesting. I've found a few posts on Reddit and Youtube that are like that. Might just have to cross post those here 🔜

Also #FinToot?! Had no idea that was a tag here 😂

@akashgoswami The monthly shitpost around premium bonds winners was always a fun time; aside from that, what was probably most enlightening was those times people would raise something that wouldn't be common knowledge. Things like the child-benefit clawback threshold, or the fact that RSUs are subject to employer _and_ employee NI.

I learned a lot of obscure esoteria like that from r/ukpf; I could see #FinToot doing alright here.

A couple of days ago I finally deleted my paymentologist account on Twitter/X. It is something I should have done sooner if I had been consistent in my values. Once Elon took over the site, I reduced my time on it as much as possible. I have missed the #fintwit discussions and relationships from there. While fintech.eco lost a lot of traction once Threads launched, I'm going to continue to maintain a presence here in the hope we can establish a #fintusk / #fintoot community.

#LMT space business—12% YoY growth with a 30bp margin uptick! Interceptor and classified programs are the stars (pun intended) here. With celestial bodies as the limit, should investors aim for the moon or worry about getting burned by the sun? Choose wisely. #Space #EmergingMarkets #fintoot

Record $9B in Q2 orders for Missile and FireControl! 3.3 book-to-bill. What's cooking in PAC-3, GMLRS, HIMARS, JASSM? But, crucially, why are we seeing a decrease in YoY operating margins? This discrepancy is a rabbit hole worth exploring for any astute investor. #LMT #Defense #fintoot

DocuSign's Q2 FY24 #Billings is at $711M, a key indicator for future revenue. But how sustainable is this growth rate? On the expense side, R&D and Sales & Marketing consume 35% and 14% of revenue, respectively. Is the company investing enough in #Innovation? Now, let's talk about subscription revenue growth, which is at 23% Y/Y. Solid, but does it justify the valuation? #Expenses #Subscription #Growth #Valuation #fintoot

DocuSign's Q2 FY24 revenue is a robust $688M, with 26% sourced internationally. But is the U.S. market carrying too much weight? Also, the 25% Non-GAAP #OperatingMargin is commendable, but is it sustainable? Shifting gears, the company flaunts 1.44M customers. Sounds impressive, but what's the Enterprise & Commercial breakdown? Are we looking at quality or just quantity? #Revenue #GlobalReach #CustomerBase #CustomerValue #fintoot

Invitae says their Gia #chatbot can break down language and cultural walls in #healthcare. But hold on a minute. Can today's #AI really get the subtleties of culture and language? We know AI has a tough time with context. So is this a game-changing breakthrough or just slick #PR? Let's not get carried away before we dig into the real capabilities. #fintoot

2023-09-07

Invitae's Gia #chatbot is always on, ready to answer your health queries and even schedule appointments. But let's pause for a moment. AI isn't a substitute for a seasoned healthcare professional. While chatbots offer quick, convenient answers, they lack the nuanced understanding that only a human can provide. So, here's the twist: Shouldn't Invitae be investing more in scientific genetic research rather than riding the #AI hype wave? #fintoot

While Canaan may boast about their 10X #YoY growth and their clever dual #strategy of selling miners during bull markets and self-mining in bear markets, it's worth asking: What's Plan B if both markets go south? Additionally, their global operations, though seemingly good for #diversification, could actually be a logistical nightmare waiting to happen. Before you consider investing in Canaan, it's crucial to weigh these potential risks. #Canaan #Volatility #Investing #fintoot

Canaan's entire business model is deeply entrenched in #Bitcoin mining. But let's get real—if you're bullish on Bitcoin, why dilute your investment by going through a middleman like Canaan? They offer you exposure to Bitcoin's volatility without any of the leverage that could amplify your gains. If you believe in Bitcoin, it's often smarter to invest directly in the asset itself rather than a company that's merely riding its coattails. #Canaan #Risk #Investing #fintoot

Navigating the labyrinth of #DocuSign pricing? Here's a quick guide. DocuSign dominates the #eSignature market but comes with a hefty price tag. Alternatives like signNow and Adobe Sign offer similar features at a lower cost. 📈 DocuSign's plans range from $10 to $40/month, but watch out for usage limits! 🚨 If you exceed, you'll pay extra. 🤑 For small businesses, consider plans with softer caps or no usage limits to get more bang for your buck. #PricingStrategy #SmallBusiness #fintoot
