I use dmenu as my main UI, not just dmenu_run.

Super+Space opens a small menu script that launches apps and system actions (WiFi, reboot, shutdown),
all keyboard-driven via sxhkd.

No panel, no mouse menus, WM-agnostic.

#!/bin/sh

Curious how many dwm users do something similar vs bars / mouse menus.

@xgranade even if you don't add any stylesheets it's probably worth it adding support for a dark color scheme; I don't particularly like being blasted in the eyes by a huge #ffffff page

so either we get to svg or png with transparent backgrounds

or we create a plugin that replaces with something and works with the palette sensibly so we can save our valuable viewing eye cells

#NeoPixels seem fine -- the default pattern as it started up made me think they were broken but maybe it's just ugly -- when I set them all to #FFFFFF from the repl, I get all of them (1 on the back board, 6 + 12 on the front board) all nice and bright and white

Stupid gamedev tricks: I want to make item sprites periodically blink white in Godot game to hint that they can be interacted with. Sprites have "modulate" parameter, but that's multiplicative, intended for tinting or darkening the graphics. So I make sure items have no pixels that have zero component in any channel and set modulation to 1000x pure white, and that brings even `#010101` to `#ffffff`.

For 33 years, My terminal windows've been #FFFFFF background w/ #00000 text. My thinking when I was 18 years old was that I wanted my windows on the computer to look like paper. I generally only used #FFFFFF on #000000 on airplanes as laptop LCDs could be seen from more angles that way.
With so much display in my face, I am wondering if this is too intense, so I'm trying #FFFFFF on #00000 for a while.
BTW, for #Emacs, I always (&still) use #000000 on #e5e5e5 (or "linen"), which is a bit softer.
