From the American Thoracic Society #ATS Washington Letter just now
"This week, the Environmental Protection Agency took final action;
https://www.epa.gov/stationary-sources-air-pollution/mercury-and-air-toxics-standards
to repeal the 2024 standard to reduce mercury and other air toxic emissions from power plants. "The repeal of the Mercury and Air Toxics Standard by the U.S. EPA today allows coal plants to pump out more mercury and toxic pollution,” says Nicholas Nassikas, MD, member of the ATS Environmental Health Policy Committee. “Citing ‘unwarranted costs’ for coal plants, the EPA’s decision means more kids will be exposed to mercury, a known neurotoxin that damages brains, and the health of more Americans will be unnecessarily harmed by power plant toxins."
Most U.S. power plants have already purchased and installed equipment to comply with the 2024 standard, so the rollback will allow these facilities to “turn off” the pollution control equipment and actually increase emissions of mercury and other air toxins.
In addition to revoking the previous standard, the EPA’s action also means power plants will not be required to install continuous pollution monitoring equipment and instead will revert to quarterly emissions testing – an emissions reporting technique that is less accurate and more prone to manipulation than continuous monitoring.
It is expected that health and environmental groups will challenge the EPA mercury and air toxics standard rollback in federal court."

The #EPA site states;
"Mercury and Air Toxics Standards
MATS, along with significant changes in the power sector, has achieved significant health and environmental benefits by reducing a broad range of hazardous air pollutants. By 2017 mercury emissions had dropped by 86 percent - down to approximately 4 tons. Acid gas HAP and non-mercury metals are down 96 percent and 81 percent respectively when compared to 2010 levels."
So if course the conservative death cult should end this success story and poison as many people as possible.
I look forward to the 'crimes against humanity' trials in the future. In the future, if you worked for this administration do not tell me about it.
