I guess for me my metaphysics isn't dialectical because it's not progressive. My metaphysics doesn't believe in linear and objective progress. It's an ethnocentric concept and I heavily lean towards cyclical time. #philosophy #metaphysics #ontology #dialectics
Also to be clear I still accept the materialist conception of history's claim of us going from low productive capacity communism to feudalism to capitalism and then to high productive capacity communism. I do believe there are modes of production in between low productive capacity communism and feudalism but still. Even though I'm not big on dialectics I do still think about it and want to further think about it and incorporate it into my worldview. I just don't like how it's associated with the concept of progress and ethnocentrism. Still, I do like Socrates' dialectics at the very least.
