I just finished replaying Half-Life. Even though it's an old FPS, i still enjoyed the level design and all the details that made navigating the facility eventful and fun.
Since i wanted to play it on the couch, i used the Darkwalker Shotpad. It's a fitting controller for old PC games, when i don't want to sit at the desk.
I'm looking forward to trying the new Steam Controller, hopefully it'll be easier to hold. 😁

Front view of the Darkwalker Shotpad controller. It's a rectangular controller featuring a big touchpad to move the mouse cursor, and also has a scrollwheel, an analog stick and a directional pad, plus a few buttons all over, including 4 shoulder buttons.

Back view of the Shotpad. The controller has two triggers on the back that can be reached with your middle fingers. On the back-left area there is also a grip-like button that can be reached with your pinky or ring finger, and can be used as a function button.

I bought a silly thing so you don’t have to. Sometimes you just want to buy a silly thing so you don’t have to, you know? So I did so you don’t have to.

I’m not sure what game I’m going to test it with, since most games work well with regular gamepads… when I do, I’ll let you know. If you have any questions/suggestions/accusations, feel free.
