Waiting on parts.

2 printers, 1 day, and a fair bit of filament. This will eventually be a card shuffler - large capacity - perfect for Wyrmspan, Wingspan, any game with a huge deck. Canasta? Just waiting on a shipment of o-rings and screws :) Printed on my #Prusa MK4s and a #Bambu A1 Mini AMS.

The #Bambu P1S was one of the best purchases I made. Being able to make anything is cool.

Time for a serious print job.

I designed and 3D printed a vent deflector to blow hot air under and behind a dishwasher. The dishwasher is on a north wall and on a cold, windy night, the drain hose froze and cracked. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked to keep the space behind warm during some recent frigid nights.

I finally caved in and bought a #3Dprinter (#Bambu P2S). For those of you with one - What's the most useful thing you've ever printed?

2026-01-24

tl;dr - I need help storing my 3D printing filament. Will ideally need to stand up to my kids routinely switching filaments.

It seems trite to ask, given what happened this morning, but I'm trying to store my filament to help prevent moisture build up and would appreciate advice.

I had been using no-name bags, with a flimsy looking seal that doesn't connect to the hand pump. These were working, but I've discovered they are now starting to leak air. Doesn't matter how many times I run the clip up and down to make sure the top seal is OK. Perhaps it's the awful valve.

I went looking for alternatives and found *this exact bag and pump* for sale as a food sealer. So these are obviously not filament-specific. I found some boxes, which do not evacuate the air, but having seen the comments it's probably true they're repurposed cereal tubs.

I know bags are capable of keeping a vacuum seal, we've got giant ones in the basement for storing clothes. The hand pump for those screws onto the valve, and it has a twist cap, and they keep an excellent seal. Wondering if I just need to find the right size of those.

@matt I’m no expert, as i’m getting my #Bambu printer next week.
But maybe its the print layer height that is at 0.24mm or 0.28mm.

Really happy with the Bambu P2S so far. I was up and printing within an hour of getting my hands on it. Already printed a benchy, scraper and some spool rings.

It’s printing a poop chute right now and I’m wondering if there’s anything I can do to make the layer lines less prominent. Or is this just normal? I’m using the recommended settings from the model, and Bambu Basic PLA filament.

My first ever 3D printer, a Bambu P2S, is due to arrive later today. I've put two rolls of Bambu Basic PLA in my filament dryer. They did sit outside in the cold for a few days so I hope they're OK.

Replaced my old 3D printer with a modern one. The difference is staggering, from setup to quality, speed... Auto-Bed Levelling has also come a long way - I can actually spend time printing rather than fighting with the printer for hours. Honestly just blown away.

P.P.S. Принт посвящается @blue

@pax0707 That is cool. Waiting for my own #Bambu delivery in a few days. Need to start cleaning the basement to make space for it.
