Finally deleted my twitter. Originally I wasn't going to because I was worried about my username being up for grabs but with all the grok bs, and just it being a cesspool of scum and villainy I could not justify staying even as a dead account.
No site's perfect, but X has become so much worse.
I'm more or less going to be exclusively using bluesky (or other ATproto sites depending on how things go), and mastodon. I also have the Wafrn and Tumblr but I hardly use these except for following art tbh.
I'm also thinking of being on social media less overall, and trying to use this just for youtube updates, but we'll see how this goes.
The reason I want to limit my time on social media is… I just find the design of social media in general fundamentally bad for us, and after last year I CANNOT stay on here for long lengths of time. Like one's that don't have a company ran algorithm are better, but the endless scroll I find to be psychological trap.
but I also can't deny that this is where people find out about things and promote their stuff… So I can't become a digital hermit. In short, outside of wafrn, and tumblr, I'm to minimize my bluesky and mastodon use to my Youtube Video stuff.

I have some followers I imported that date back to the first (Nov 2022) #twitterexodus, when Mastodon almost took off but fell off quick when Tweeters couldn't figure out how federated platforms work and Hive Social took a lot of the spotlight (remember that?) More recent exoduses were focused on Bluesky and Mastodon never seemed to get such wide attention since
Mastodon deserves better, a properly federated/decentralised platform that anyone can run developed by a non-profit, compared to one run by a for-profit which is technically unfeasible to self-host
