looking down onto an island platform with a tube train on both sides. the doors of both trains are open. the pitched train shed roof has glass panels along the apex to let light onto the platform and is supported by an arching lattice metal frame. way out signs hang from the roof above the foot of a stairway which can just be seen in the foreground. at the foot of the stairs a large sign shows both platforms are for southbound trains with a diagram of the line.

A spiral staircase going down anti-clockwise lit from above. The wall is tiled in white with two vertical bands of dark red tiles every 5 steps, a single row of similar times above the skirting, and at the top two rows of dark red tiles separated by alternating white and light blue tiles. Metal handrails on each side follow the stairs down. The upper part of the wall is rough painted plaster, once creamy white but now fairly dirty.

Out of Town. Chesham, a London Underground station in the country. #TubeTuesday
Looking out from under a canopy over a wet station platform with a London Underground Metropolitan Line train on the left. The canopy is supported by a pair of ornate cast iron columns painted maroon and off-white and has fancy dags along the edge of the roof. The platform beyond the canopy glistens in the rain which is at least good for the plants in the hanging containers on the brick building wall to the right and those in tubs on the platform. Tall trees in full leaf can be seen above the top of the train and beside the line at the far end of the platform.

In a circular tunnel lined with cast iron rings looking at the head wall where there are two smaller circular tunnel mouths. The left one is bricked up with a small door covered in health and safety signs. The right one has a single railway track leading into it from the left of the picture and the tunnel has lights on the right hand wall so that we can see that it curves away to the left out of sight. There is a red stop signal lit on the left wall a few metres into the tunnel. Cables run along the tunnel walls. Thin stalactites hang from the joints in the roof above the platform tunnel. A wire mesh fence has been erected at the end of the platform to prevent access to the track area - and to stop people falling off the platform edge in the reduced lighting.

The faithful leaving the Temple for #TubeTuesday
A small crowd of people coming out of Temple Underground station on a wet dark evening. The station name is illuminated above the doorway with lamps lighting the walls either side. A stone balustrade runs across the top of the building. Lights reflect off the wet paving slabs of the station forecourt. A short set of wide stone steps to the right lead up to street level where to the left of the steps an illuminated Underground roundel totem shines like a beacon.

A platform in a tube station, empty save for one person in the distance. To the right is the track and the tunnel wall with curved panels in yellow and orange with posters, a line diagram, and roundels with the station name Charing Cross. The platform side wall is tiled with sections in yellow, green, white, and grey. The ceiling panels are missing showing the iron rings of the tunnel construction. A single row of strip lights runs above the platform edge. there are Way Out and fire exit signs suspended from the tunnel roof above the platform.
