The death of Vince Zampella has been on my mind since the news broke. He was involved in some of my fondest gaming experiences. Call of Duty changed the industry, Titanfall was absolutely excellent, and, although I didn’t realize he was involved until now, Battlefield 6 is everything I’ve been looking for in a new game.

Like, maybe, MAYBE they can innovate again like they did with the multiplayer in all 4 of the aforementioned games, but to pretend that Titanfall’s David vs Goliath mechanics have been explored to their fullest potential and that F2P hero-based/open-world shooters haven’t sounds like an epitomized fallacy to me.

Y’know, I have no doubt that #highguard will be a quality #FPS, but knowing that the devs at #WildLight Entertainment are the geniuses behind the #CallofDuty4, #MW2, and both #Titanfall campaigns and they went on to make another #F2P hero-based extraction shooter is just so disheartening.
