One kid needs regular medical stuff and likes #tacobell after. ok.
the catch: there's only one that's reasonably close to our route.
when my wife went, they would wait upwards of 45m for food. I complain before that but it still takes 10-15m. I'm talking about a standard order with no special instructions in the 11-1 time frame at a store with maybe as many as two other customers and 4-6 visible employees
we used to go through the drive thru but every single time they'd take so long they made me pull around and then not bring me anything until I went inside.
so we started going inside to begin with. that worked (albeit slowly) until they installed kiosks.
the kiosks don't have cinnabons listed, which is a crucial element of the kid's order
last time, they had a sign up that we had to order from the kiosks. the register person was a) new and b) deaf and couldn't decipher my written messages about cinnabons. their manager eventually saved us by ordering at the register.
(aside: the #software #engineer in me wonders at the architecture of a system where the kiosk and register have different options and nobody local can tell that or do anything about it)
we finally had the brilliant idea to order via app from 20min away. assuming the app isn't missing items like the kiosk is this would solve both problems!
this store doesn't take app orders.
