Zig and zag - A dark and ominous sky over the Firth of Forth provides the ideal moody backdrop to a long exposure of 'The blocks', the iconic zig zag breakwater on the outer harbour wall at St Monans.

Although conditions were fairly rough at the time with waves frequently crashing over the breakwater, the long exposure paints a deceptive sense of calm of the turmoil below.
