I just issued the first local account ban today. A huge thank you to the users who reported the profile! Your vigilance is what makes this decentralized space work.

The account in question wasn’t sharing actual content, but rather a "word salad" — a suspicious mix of random keywords and gibberish, typical for spam bots or SEO-farming.

Note to fellow Fediverse admins: I’ve added a detailed reason for the suspension in the moderation notes. If this user attempts to migrate or interact with your instances, you should see the "spam/word salad" flag in your federation panels.

Keychron lies.

Despite their 'assurances' your data will be abused and leached, they lie, and do not honor any settings at purchase, no account was made, paypal online purchase used, via their site, and their #unsubscribe URL is a tracking fest, with yet more risk.

Despite ensuring the "send me news and offers" was clearly unchecked at time of purchase, I'm now being spammed.

Reconsider any purchase from Keychron, or use a disposable email address.

💩 #Keychron business practices are clearly #lies and they *will* ignore your preferences and spam you anyway.

Regardless of the products quality, they've lost any future purchases I might have made for additional key caps or switches for the #Keyboard, with this piss poor decision to spam me after saying no.

I will simply block all email from them now and not purchase their products ever again. (might even shit list their domain on any or all kit I manage)

I only saw it in the replies to a post boosted by someone I follow, it annoyed me.
Also means not just MAS being used for this.

I just got an e-mail of a small fee I have to pay to the German postal service to receive a package. But
- I'm not waiting for any packages
- I'm not in Germany, I don't pay German fees
- the email was sent from a fishy domain
- the package number was not valid on the German post website
- it said unsubscribe at the bottom
- and Dublin for the company location

Gmail didn't register this as spam. From the best spam filter to the worst.

I whish I could hit them harder than "mark as spam" and someone would bring this fucking scumbags to court and then in prison.

I had already blocked this very bot that was flooding my mentions with nonsensical stuff.
Today the account was unblocked and my mentions were flooded again.
This is NOT cool, and this is ruining my UX on this platform. If I decide to block a bloody bot, it shalt remain blocked FFS! To hell with these #spam bots. #spamalert
