No, the action level in this country is 200 Bq/m³, and any remedial action should aim to bring the concentration below 100 Bq/m³. I think we're fine.
I bought the sensor because the previous owners of the house installed a lot of #marble in the kitchen diner, and some marble samples emit a lot of #radon. Now I know that ours doesn't, or (less likely, because radon is denser than air) that our heat-recovery ventilation works hard enough to remove it. If the level had been consistently high, I'd probably have replaced the marble worktops with something more practical.
Last June, I bought #radon sensor and left it in the dining room. I paid for a sensor rather than a cheaper one-off test because I wanted to know how the level varies over time. The variation turns out to be huge.
AFAICT, the radon concentration is highest during long, hot dry spells, when the ground cracks and underground radon escapes into the atmosphere. Conversely, it's lowest after sustained rain, when the ground turns into a swamp and prevents radon from escaping.
If you want to know whether you really have a radon problem, buy a sensor and leave it in one place from June to December or vice versa. Don't do a one-off test around midwinter and be fooled into thinking everything's fine.
Edit: for some people, Christmas comes near midsummer.

A friend just lost her two cats and her dog to lung cancer. The HVAC in their rental house was DIY and had no fresh air intake, so radon was being circulated throughout the house. I have radon in my basement but found that cracking a couple windows to allow some additional fresh air into the basement crashed radon levels. My heating bill is increased, but I calculate it is worth it. A proper radon mitigation would cost $20-40 k... and likely more if the basement is finished.
Check your basements for radon, unless you are conservative and don't believe radon causes lung cancer.

Ordering one this week! We did a test once via some Canadian organization and they simply said, SAFE. But we have a 200 year old country home with a deepish basement, and lots of friends with much more airtight houses than us. Figure we can share the device around.
