Received marketing #spam from PiShop.ca today. I've purchased from them several times in the past, but have always opted out of all #marketing emails from every company I've ever purchased from.
Clearly some #marketroid saw their database of #emails and thought "Hey, free sales leads! Who cares if they've clearly said not to email them?".
Definitely less likely to buy from them in future.

Sigh. I ordered parts from pishop.us. Overall, they've been great! I go to track my packages today and notice that they've shipped by USPS Priority Mail. Again, fine....
but..
...The tracking link that they provide goes to track.aftership.com as a passthrough with the same tracking number to USPS. My PiHole, and uBlock Origin and PrivacyBadger plugins were very not happy with me for clicking on that.
I was able to go to USPS directly in the meantime with the tracking info to track my package. This is the expected behavior when clicking a "track package" link.
Gotta love those everyday inconveniences that web browsing and commerce hands you. The web nowadays seems downright hostile to what you as a user actually want to do to experience it.
In other words, it is time for my nap, so get off my lawn, etc. etc.

I'm waiting for #pishop.us to ship my #RaspberryPi 5. I mean I ordered it September. I don't think it's their fault.
Hmm, I wonder when #PiShop.us will ship my #RasberryPi 5. I'm not expecting it until November, but I was hoping. The Pi 3 just in the attic just doesn't stream well, but it does flicker the #Halloween lights well (I'll leave it on until New Years).
Update (or really more of a vent): The camera is DOA. I plugged it up to my Pi Zero 2 W and it still didn't recognize. To top it off, all the effort I used to ensure a proper connection on the pi it was going to be on broke the plastic clip that holds the cable into the CSI port. Dammit. Hopefully an RMA will be granted. My last pi camera (v1, not v3) worked so easily!
