"In the past few weeks, the far-right Pro NRW has conducted racist protests outside refugee camps in North Rhine-Westphalia as part of a campaign for a “people’s initiative against the abuse of asylum.” Their demands for a criminal offence of “asylum fraud” have received support from members of the Pirate Party."

This was in 2013. Why exactly is the @piratenpartei still allowed to run the #PPEU and the #PPI? Other national #Pirate parties are complicit.

Our patience was sorely tested. Make no mistake: the downfall of the #PPEU and #PPI is the fault of the German "Pirates". Theirs, and the #GlobalNorth parties' that are - to put it mildly - like-minded. Also, Rick Falkvinge has become a mouthpiece for #neofascism lately.

@Kletskous that's who they are - all of them. And this is what they turned the #PPEU and the #PPI into.

Dear Board members of the #EuropeanPirateParty #PPEU #PiratePartiesInternational #PPI, I would like to say how much I will miss your honest and friendly camaraderie and solidarity and your principled stance on the issues that matter.

@Kletskous Mark and Frank, however, managed to cause a LOT of bad blood between the @Piratenpartij and the @piratepartygr. Also, Florian Roussel's (PPEU chair) move to ask for one of the Greek Pirates' referral to the #PPEU CoCC for criticising the unethical behaviour of several other Pirate parties' officials only made things worse.

@Kletskous By the way, I have to inform you that whoever manages the official @Piratenpartij Facebook page blocked the @piratepartygr's FB account. Do also remember the previous statement that Mark Anthony Van Treuren had issued, where he had accused the Greek Pirates of "supporting terrorism" for their motion to the #PPEU for the condemnation of the #GenocideOfPalestinians

@wabrandsma oh, now @Kletskous is valued, but when she speaks for the rights of Palestinians she gets gaslighted? Also, what is *your* take on the disgusting statement your party issued in which it accused @piratepartygr of "supporting terrorism" for DARING to bring a motion for the #PPEU to condemn the Israeli #GenocideOfPalestinians?

OK, so the @Piratenpartij is "not pro-Netanyahu", but voted both against the Greek motion on the #GenocideOfPalestinians and the #PPEU's watered-down countermotion that didn't include the "offending" term #Genocide. They're also presenting the disgusting #Realpolitik implication that denouncing the genocide will help other actors (basically #Iran and #Russia). Disgusting. Silence in the face of a genocide is complicity.

Key #Pirate political positions:
1. #Lobbies must not be given legislative powers;
2. Bribes towards politicians are unacceptable.
Yet, the #PPEU & #PPI, manipulated by the @piratenpartei and its cohorts, have no problem with #ApartheidIsrael's lobby buying politicians and passing its own laws in the #EU and #USA. This is a #betrayal against our ideology and we openly denounce these politicians that falsely call themselves #Pirates.

@Piratenpartij, what's your excuse for siding with the #altright @piratenpartei against the Greek motion in the 18th Council of the #PPEU re: #GenocideOfPalestinians? Cc @wabrandsma

@Kletskous the discussions from previous days showed us that there are Pirate party leaderships that choose to ignore their members' concerns. @Piratenpartij's poll on our motion, posted 8 days after our motion was rejected in the 18th Council of the #PPEU, proved it for us. If they wanted their members' opinion, this poll would have been conducted before the Council. What is to be done?
