So, monochrome is harder than I thought. Also, I need to be a much better artist to capture what’s in my head. 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️. I was thinking about Guernica and Picasso. Guernica was the site of the first civilian saturation bombing by the Nazis. Picasso’s painting is a silent scream of anger, grief and pain.

I’m not suggesting that I’m comparing myself to Picasso , because that would be absurd, but he was inspirational for a painting about Renee Good and the attack on the rule of law.

I’m rough sketching with a brush and pencil and have probably exceeded my skill level, but I have hopes for this one.

So I said to myself, self, you need to get out of your own head. Go, close your eyes, let the muses drive, and paint for a while.

Y’all, my muses are angry. I really did this one kind of like automatic drawing, in that I was consciously letting my subconscious drive. There’s a lot wrong with it as “art” but yeah…this is how I feel about where we are in time.

I think I won’t try to change anything, and just call it January 26.

This can't possibly be just me or hallucinations: I seem to be the only member of my family or close friends who can #smell and #taste when #oils and fats have gone "off" or maybe started to go rancid. It impacts my eating experience because it is not pleasant. I believe I can taste and smell when olive oil, vegetable oils in general, nuts, butter, peanut butter, etc. are past their prime.

I suspect not everyone cares about this, as I regularly notice mild or sometimes even severe nastification of things from the supermarket: oils and nuts, as noted above, but also things containing them, like some candy-coated sunflower seeds I got from a candy store or a bag of almond flour I bought last week.

I'm not alone, right? Other people just don't notice or aren't bothered by this?
