A bad week in many regards, but also a good one! I spent it with a multidisciplinary group of #academic and #practitioner researchers talking about #opensource at the #OFASymposium a conference organized by my @OpenForumEurope colleagues and I.
It rocked! Stay tuned for the recordings, presentations, and papers, and for the dates for our next conference. Itβs in a cool place, I promise!
Our afternoon for the #OFASymposium 2024 began with a special treat for attendees β Henry Chesbrough, the 'Father of #OpenInnovation' talked about the past and future of open innovation in conversation with Clare Dillon.
Attendees are now learning more about open innovation, #OpenData & #SupplyChain dependencies in the OS Economics track, as well as #DigitalPublicGoods, #DigitalCommons, and institutional uses of OS in the OS for the #PublicSector track.
We are coming to you live from #Boston, home of the 2024 edition of the #OFASymposium. We have a full day ahead of us @D3Harvard, filled with exciting presentation and keynotes!
Right now, we are live with Thematic Blocks on Funding and Diversifying OS. Our presenters are tackling the big questions around sustainability, benefits, and pitfalls of private vs. public funding models for OSS & ways in which diversity shapes and impacts the OSS ecosystem.
π§βπ« @jankrewer will present our latest paper, co-authored with Zuzanna Warso, at the #OFASymposium in Boston.
π Today at 15:30 EST time and hosted by the Digital Data Design Institute at Harvard.
Some of our @NGICommons partners will also be speaking at the conference. Good luck to all!
