Last night, 30th December, I was picking up a friend from the Northlink Ferry terminal in Kirkwall in horrendous /very stormy weather conditions, and I ended up watching an amazing display of professionalism by the captain and crew of all the Northlink staff, both on board the ship and dockside, to get the ship safely docked, and the passengers and cargo safely deposited on the Kirkwall shore...
