Ich kann den #Mehrwert einer standardtisierten, digitalen "#MedicalCard" nachvollziehen und besonder für Leute mit chronischen Erkrankungen, überlebenswichtigen Medikamenten und generell kann es sinnvoll sein wenn diese dort grundlegende Notfallinfos bereitstellen können, und sei's nur "Notfallkontakt & -Telefonnummer" falls jemensch im RTW bewusstlos in nem Krankenhaus eingeliefert wird und dann irgendwo zwischen Notaufnahme und Station irgendwer Zeit findet wo anzurufen.

I got a list from the #HSE of 9 dentists in #Waterford subscribed to the #MedicalCard scheme. Of those 1 has left the scheme. 1 has closed their books. The rest have no appointments available until March, April, May, June or September.
No dentist can legally take a med card kid under 16, the emergency service does NOT count crying in pain as an emergency btw. Unless you can afford private there is ZERO dental provision for kids in Waterford #deise #mastodaoine

The idea that people on the #MedicalCard can access dental services is bullshit. Phoned six dentists before one gave me the number of one who MIGHT be able to see me. My front tooth snapped vertically. Like seriously our system is fucked. If they refuse me service I've to go to the ER tomorrow during business hours in the hopes the dentist in the hospital will see me. I definitely won't be selling foot pics any time soon. Got my big toe cauterised on one foot because it's still too far gone to even start treating the nail and a shit load of cryo on the sole of my other foot. The cryo is covered by the #hse but the silver nitrate for the toe is not. Just remember us Poor's aren't covered for feet or teeth on the #MedicalCard (exception being diabetics get foot care) #mastodaoine
