Heute stoppte mein Linux Server - Hardware #Helios64 von #kobol #Armbian, Rockchip Kernel 5.15... - wieder Mal plötzlich seinen Dienst, also habe ich gesucht und Hinweise gefunden, dass die CPU nicht auf die vollen 1800000 geschaltet werden sollen, kann das sein?

Danach habe ich noch unnötige Software entfernt, von der ich nicht wusste was die eigentlich soll zb pcp, X11 Libraries, daap Server, und ähnliches.

The 13th tribe discovered AI first and did not manage to invent FTL. The 12 tribes of #Kobol, in the #Cyrannus system, did the reverse. they discovered FTL first and then SelfAware AI. Verdict de l'utilisation de l' #Helios64 de #Kobol après plus de 9 mois d'utilisation : J'en voulais un 2e… mais ça ne sera pas possible (plus fabriqué, équipe à l'origine en burnout).

C'est simple, c'est super stable (150 jours d'uptime là), plutôt silencieux, chauffe peu (44°C), logiciels libre et open source, armbian + OpenMediaVault¹ + Docker (pour les trucs en plus, comme portainer², jellyfin³, dashy⁴…)

One knock against the Kobol Helios64 NAS kit: it is capable of 2.5Gbit ethernet, yet it comes with only a CAT5.e cable in the box which means you only get 1Gbit ethernet if you use that cable, yucky

Well, with the help of a trusty multimeter, I can confirm that my Helios64 has the correct ethernet wiring, so I don't even need to solder anything, yay!

Des nouvelles (en résumé) de l'Helios64 de Kobol.io (source : blog officiel¹) traduites ici en français :

Début des envois à partir de la semaine prochaine, dans l'ordre des pré-commandes effectuées.

Le support de l'Helios64 a été ajouté dans Armbian, version 20.08²³, mais c'est encore en test (wip/work in progress).

Le guide de montage a été mis en ligne⁴.

Certification CE et FCC : c'est bon au niveau de la compatibilité électromagnétique (test EMC).

Le test des cartes à la fabrication (pour validation) a généré beaucoup de faux négatifs (test trop strict ?), et retester les cartes prend énormément de temps, ce qui allonge les délais (et repousse donc les livraisons).
