La saison cyclonique est calme pour l'heure notamment sur le bassin atlantique et l'ouest Pacifique, on est proche de la normale sur le centre et est du bassin Pacifique (merci #Kiko). L'ACE est révélateur en tout cas de l'activité globalement calme. Pour autant, il est bien prématuré d'enterrer cette saison cyclonique.
D'ici quelques jours, le réveil du bassin atlantique tropical pourrait s'opérer avec un environnement plus favorable (un anticyclone des Açores faiblissant, envoyant moins d'air sec à l'ouest du continent africain, des ondes tropicales s'organisant mieux, des cisaillements en baisse, et le passage de la MJO en phases 8-1 associé à des ondes de Kelvin).
Une première onde tropicale est sous surveillance par le NHC.
