Today, 28 April, is International Workers Memorial Day. It is a day to remember all those who have lost their lives whilst at work or due to accidents or illnesses contracted through their work.

“Other than weekends, lunch breaks, overtime pay, parental leave, pension plans, higher wages and sick leave WHAT GOOD HAVE UNIONS EVER DONE?

“I deserve less pay than men.”

“ I wouldn’t want the company wasting money making my job safer.”

“Speaking objectively, ALL UNIONS ARE EVIL EEEEVVVVVIIIILLLL !”

“I want the right to work, along with the right to be arbitrarily fired.”

“WHO cares if unions reduce the pay-gap between non-white and white workers.”

It’s wrong that Unions spend money influencing government, only business should get to do that !”

Sunday 28th April is International Workers Memorial Day, #IWMD this morning #ANMF Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation #union members attended the Victorian Trades Hall Council ceremony to lay wreaths in honour of the #healthcareworkers killed in #Palestine.

Heute ist Internationaler #WorkersMemorialDay. Wir gedenken heute der Menschen, die bei der Arbeit erkrankt oder zu Tode gekommen sind.
