Mayor David Holt won reelection in Oklahoma City today, and this is a good thing.

Spouse and I also submitted applications to become poll workers. Time will tell if this is a good thing or not. 😆

So one day I was skulking around and chatting up this guy and I was probably drinking a Big Gulp and I told him I was tired of alt country and what else did he have that I would like and without hesitation (at least this is how I remember it 30 years later) he handed me Dolittle. The end. #IVoted

The up-side of instant-runoff voting is you never have to bother with primaries.

The downside is that when you do have an election, there can be a LOT of choices on the ballot. I usually have to make a crib-sheet with my numbered choices.

Well I have once again showed up in an off year to vote for my Muslim immigrant single-mom city councillor, which always feels good (they found another racist ex-cop to run against her this time, natch).

City election day in Minneapolis. I picked three DFLers (out of many) for mayor on the ranked choice ballot. I was tempted to waste my 3rd choice on some guy named Wagner representing the "Why not Wagner" party. Because it made me chuckle. But I went to his website, and it wouldn't load. So that's why not Wagner. That's why not.
