In one of our Iceland trips, we stayed at a horse farm near Borgarnes for a night. The owner told us to feel free to hang out with the horses in one of the pastures as long as we don't forget to close the gate.
We went to the pasture and the horses actually came to us for the pets. This one just had to get one step closer to me and stepped on my foot, refusing to move, while still demanding pets. I was a hostage for a couple of minutes. It's a good thing Icelandic horses are small.
When it was time for us to leave, the horses just kept following us (we only had pets, no food) which made opening and closing the gate without them getting out a little bit tricky, but we somehow did it. What a time.
