🔥🌎🔥Hoy fue el primer día como médico que escribo el diagnóstico de “golpe de calor” en el sistema hospitalario. No es el primer golpe de calor que veo, pero sí el primer diagnóstico que pongo con consciencia de la crisis climática, anteriormente sólo se ponía como deshidratación, o como fatiga laboral, creo que no hay que negar lo que vemos, el cambio climático existe, y las poblaciones vulnerables son las que más lo están sufriendo, ejemplo de esto mi paciente del día de hoy, quien se dedica a trabajar con fierro en los techos de los edificios en construcción. Monterrey está teniendo temperaturas sumamente elevadas, el día de hoy el termómetro marcó los 42ºC, las condiciones laborales de los trabajadores no mejoran, y tampoco mejorará el clima si no ponemos nuestro granito de arena.———— (eng) 🔥🌍🔥Today was my first day as a doctor, that I give the diagnosis of “Heatstroke”. I mean, its not the first heatstroke that I see, but it is the first one that I diagnose consciously of the Climate Crisis, before as doctors we usually address it as dehydration or work fatigue, however I’m sure we must not deny what we see, Climate Change is there, and the most vulnerable population are the one that are more in risk of suffering this kind of diagnoses, for instance, my patient today works in construction, he works at the top of the buildings bending steel; Monterrey in this days is extremely hot around 42º Celsius (107ºF), working conditions for our workers shall not get better, neither is climate if we don’t act now.
