Last weekend at our community project day, one member spontaneously organized a Hot Ones hot sauce tasting and it was super fun.
The sauces are now in our fridge for everyone to try – if you've always wanted a taste of the show's line-up, stop by.

With Part-DB 2.8 you can now create parts directly from barcodes.
If you order parts from #digikey, #mouser, #lcsc or Amazon, and they don't exist in your database yet, you can just scan the distributor barcode, and Part-DB will fetch all relevant Infos like descriptions, parameters, data sheets, prices, etc. from the distributor, and offer to create a new part based on that.

I think what this different cultures about guns show also, is that it matters with what mindset, what framing and what ideology you come to a problem. Also the inherent importance of community for the swiss is, when it comes to guns.
My hunch about that is also, that whatever your target of a specific culture is, is that you have to stick to it for a long time, until it really manifests itself into reality and becomes that strong. The gun nut loving culture of the USA of today became into being, because it was also changed by lobbying groups AND the mistrust of the government, so the USA became a highly cynical country, so this specific culture of guns could develop.
Reminds me how other things depend in other countries on the culture.
When it comes to #hackspaces ( #hackerspace ), then equal principles apply. If something doesn't work as you want it, then only painstakingly change the culture and stick to it. Anything else probably does not work. And if something worked in the past, but does not work now, then probably the culture has changed in the meantime. Any fix needs to be centered on that and not on shaming, shunning, etc. individual people.

Przyszła wiosna, więc wróciły myśli, by w wolnym pokoju (obecnie rowerownia) stworzyć pracownię, gdzie będą mogły przyjść inne osoby i np. zainstalować z moją pomocą #Linux-a na starszym lapku, sprawdzić, czy im odpowiada #KDE czy jednak #Gnome albo inny desktop - na którymś z moich, coś sobie zabrać, coś zostawić, czy naprawić jakiegoś grata.
Muszę ogarnąć jakieś stoły, krzesła, może poprawić podłogę. Prąd, internet, ściany, sufit i okno już są ;)
No i może ja się tam przeniosę z pracą, bo czasami mam wrażenie, że jestem w robocie od rana do nocy, bo wszystko odbywa się w jednym wielkim pomieszczeniu z piecem kaflowym (ciepełko w zimie). Podobno tak lepiej, można np. "skończyć pracę na dzisiaj".
Jakie macie doświadczenia? Praca w #HomeLab / #HomeOffice i kontakt z ludźmi przez telefon, socjalki czy komunikatory całą dobę potrafi zmęczyć 😜
Na zdjęciach prostownik do naprawy, polski, z Bielska Białej 😍 (moje miasto rodzinne). Użytkownik "wgrzewał" nim coś w plastik a następnie próbował sam coś lutować i wyszedł straszny bałagan. Naprawi się 🛠️ Ma może ktoś schemat do Kukla BK 12/10?🤔

Our members sew, knit and experiment with textiles using shared machines and materials.
